A man watching a parachute display had to be taken to hospital after being hit by an off-target parachutist.
The elderly spectator was watching the action when the collision happened in Teignmouth on Sunday during a National Veterans’ Day event.
He was treated for cuts and bruises at the scene before being taken to hospital by ambulance. He was not thought to be seriously injured.
The parachutist, believed to be from the RAF Falling Rocks team, was unhurt.
